I hired a painter to stain my un30 year old deck and stairs I bought used…no.kmordge of how they wete taken care off..painter power washed with bleach first day and the next day he applied 101 pro series cedar tone… I was not home but it unexpectedly starting raining for about an hour after he finished the deck and was working on back steps…. What do I do now,? I’ve been waiting , 4 years to get this done now it rains unexpectedly. Ty he part he had don still looks so much better than before.. it’s about an hour after it stopped raining
.
This is my retirement home. I want as little maintenance as possible in future… Do I need to do anything to protect this from the rain it unexpectedly got before frying.. advise appreciated..
I was not at home before he left so I have not yet talked to him about what I need to do now.

I live in Oregon. I applied TWP 100 Cedartone on my fence 5 years ago. It has held up great. the stain is starting to break down in some places and I need to reapply stain. Do I need to strip the TWP 100 off or should I clean and brighten the fence and apply a coat over the top? Any advice on prep and reapplication would be great.

I was very happy with the TWP 100. Should I continue to use the TWP 100 or switch to the TWP 1500?

Last question. I have the BEHR water based semi-transparent stain on a separate fence. Does your RAD stripper remove this product? It is peeling and not peeling at the same time.

I have cypress posts and shutters my husband is building. We have been told to stain these and not use any type of polyurethane or sealers. Is TWP a good choice for staining our cypress posts? A friend recommended it and also
Wolman’s F&P stain. I do not want to mess up our posts. We have six total to stain.

I have been using TWP99 for years with very good results. It is a clear base that requires tinting. (Local paint store was tinting but no longer carries it.). Is TWP99 still available? If not, could I substitute one of the TWP pre-color versions? Which is closer / similar to TWP99 – your 100 or 1500 series? Thanks!

Thank you for your response. My question is our 750 sq ft 20 year old deck will have new pressure treated pine which is just a few benches and maybe 20 or so new boards. We plan on stripping and sanding the old wood as needed before staining. We were told this wood is dry and we would not need to wait until next spring to stain. Is that correct? I realize we must stain clean and brighten first.

I have a 20 year old 750 sq foot deck. I plan on 1.sanding down some 2.strip to get what ever old stain remains. This may take a few weeks to get it done. Then 3.put the cleaner Deck wash and Brightener on. At this point how long do I have before I have to put the stain on??

I also will have some new replacement pressure treated boards and benches are treated differently than they were years ago, and that you don’t have to weight 6 mo. to a year to dry out before you can stain them . Is this correct?

Can a sealer like Thompson’s Water Seal be applied over the TWP 100 series Rustic colored deck stain after the stain has been on my deck for a couple months?

Hi- Can TWP 100 be used in New Jersey? If not, you recommend TWP 1500 series? This is for a deck on wooded lot which gets a lot of sun. Thanks!

I finished staining my deck with TWP-100. I am wondering if it wise to put a coat of clear urethane on top of this to protect the deck even longer?

Howdy,
We are currently working on a 600 sf redwood deck that is 18 yrs old and had a poor quality stain applied approx 5 years ago. were using strip ease and ctriastrip to get through the old material and then sanding, was wondering what is recommended after were done, what steps and products, the 100 or the 1500?

I just had an 8′ wood fence installed and would like to know if the weathering time is the same 4-12 months as a deck. Thank you!
